VENOM - Official Trailer 2 Changing Minds About Seeing It

The new trailer for Venom is probably the best looking version of the character to date. The voice and usage of "we" in what is seen here could be good enough to convince anyone on the fence about seeing the movie to give it a chance. The reason fans might not be interested is because of director Ruben Fleischer's c omments at the San Diego Comic-Con where he explained why the Spider-Man symbol does not appear on this version of Venom. "If you look at the comics, in Venom, there is just elements of white within his suit. Because our character does not originate from Spider-Man, it makes no sense to put a spider on his chest. We tried to be as accurate as we possibly could, even though some people feel it’s inaccurate, but there is a lot of white and we wanted to give him a distinctive pattern.” -Ruben Fleischer That may have been off-putting at first, but this trailer still makes for a very enticing film that has a villain as the main character. What do yo...

The Panels Are Coming to The New Jersey Comic Expo

Of all the things that go on during the New Jersey Comic Expo, one of the best reasons to go are the panels. Creatives in the area should look at the schedule and plan to sit in on some of these inspiring and instructive panels featured at this year's Expo November 18 and 19. DYNAMITE comics is holding their second panel this year on making comics to kick off the weekend. The last one they held had Garth Ennis as a special guest who spoke with readers about his creative process and things he is working on with DYNAMITE. Cosplayers are always welcome and have had some of the best and most popular panels in the past so it should be no surprise that the weekend's programming includes Armor Making and professional cosplayer's answering questions about the craft and culture of cosplay for comic-cons. See the weekend program below: See anything you would like to attend?  Sound off in the comments below and be sure to check out the New Jersey Comic Expo's of...

Marvel’s The Defenders | Official Trailer is up

The trailer for what  +Netflix US & Canada  has been working on with Daredevil , Jessica Jones , Luke Cage and Iron Fist is out, and fans can't wait any sooner to see this mash-up. Check it out below:

Understanding the criticism on Netflix's Iron Fist series

Before +Netflix US & Canada  even released the latest in their Marvel binge library, Iron Fist folks were on the fence or flat out bashing the show. It is best to watch and form your own opinion on anything but after watch the first four episodes, it's a bit understandable why folks aren't exactly happy with it. The biggest thing we can comment on that stands out to us is, Iron Fist aka Danny Rand gets beat up a little too much. For the best martial artist, or at least one of the best on Marvel's roster. He gets beat up by regular people way too much. Never mind other martial artists that are not super powered people. He gets handled by regular old orderlies in a hospital. But, he's able to get past a corporate security team in the first episode and later a hallway filled with axe-wielding triads. Secondly, this is supposed be a show about Iron Fist.  So why are they blowing up Colleen Wing so much? Four episodes in and you may see her do more martial ...

Logan (2017) Review

The first X-men movie came out in 2000, 17 years later and an 'R' rating Hollywood not only gets Wolverine right but creates a story that would make Chris Claremont proud. Logan is supposed to be the last film Jackman will play the character most fans have associated with the actor and he brings his big acting guns for this one. The story is set in 2029 where most mutants have died off and there are very few left. Logan, Prof. X played by Patrick Stewart again and Caliban are trying to live out the rest of their lives undisturbed. Legends have been written about the X-men in the form of comic books and through one of them, Wolverine has built a bit of celebrity reputation for helping people.  Through the fame of the stories a woman and young girl named Laura find Logan and ask him to help get them to a place called "Eden", in North Dakota. As the film goes on Logan finds out he and Laura have similar abilities and a small bond connects the two. The actio...

Are Comic-cons even about comic anymore? Lately they are great ways to announce bringing characters off the pages of books onto the screen. Captain America: Civil War (2016) review

(Walt Disney Pictures) Heroes stand together to fight crime. However, now the heroes are against each other, trying to do what's right in their eyes. That's basically Captain America:Civil War in two sentences. Here's just one sentence that describe Civil War. Amazing in every way, and enjoyable in all the right places. Let's go further into the Captain America: Civil War review. This latest installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe shows Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) wanting to work with the government now, instead of being vigilantes who work without supervision or support. Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) wants to continue working solo, without any governmental interference. So when things get messy, arguments happen. Wh...

The Punisher series is coming to Netflix

Through the official Netflix US account on Twitter, the company announced what all fans of the Daredevil Netflix original TV series have been asking for. The Punisher series will be coming to Netflix "soon" according to the post. The Punisher is back. Locked and loaded. https://t.co/nGKCa2taEV — Netflix US (@netflix) April 29, 2016 If you binge-watched the second season of Daredevil like we did, you know this is something we'd rather have now than later. All good things come to those who wait, and if the show is anything like we saw Jon Bernthal do in Daredevil, we should not be disappointed. Are you as excited as we are? Follow @Carbazel

Better Late Than Never Review: Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)

Blu-ray available on Amazon With Captain America:Civil War (2016) due out soon, we thought it might be a good idea to watch the previous Captain America film, Captain America:The Winter Solider (2014) . Marvel has been reigning at the box office by building their cinematic universe. All they're doing is publishing films the way comics are published, something fans of the characters have wanted as long as they have been reading comic books. When something new is added, its time to play catch-up. The Winter Soldier film holds a lot of the elements that will fuel the Civil War story-line in the films. It really is required viewing before the new film comes out and without spoiling too much for the few that have not seen it, we'll list some elements that will continue in the new film. Trust No One When the story gets going (and it doesn't take long) in Winter Soldier, a mortally wounded Nick Fury warns Captain America not to trust anyone. Before that even happens ou...

Photo: 20th Century Fox Deadpool (2016) kicked a lot of box office tail last weekend so it should come as no surprise that the movie is already available for pre-order on Amazon. Deadpool (2016) review

Rated 'R' Rarely does Hollywood get it right when bringing a new franchise from another medium to the big screen. Deadpool (2016) was the perfect example of what happens when you let people that know and love a franchise have a full creative control. Ryan Reynolds had been trying to get this film made for a while and it looks like all the hard work is paying off with this film. It's hard to tell a story about a character that knows he is a character in a film. When the word came out about a Deadpool film it  was probably hard to imagine how one could be made about character that breaks the fourth wall as often as Deadpool does. Rest assured comic book fans, Reynolds does a great job bringing everything that people love about Deadpool to the big screen. The classification of an action/comedy has definitely changed with this movie. The action is superb and the comedy coming from "the merc with a mouth" is almost non-stop, even when the film makes an attempt...

Attention parents! Deadpool is rated 'R'

That means, it's not intended for you to bring your kiddies to. Please don't complain when it comes out this weekend that it has somehow scarred your children. That is what the 'R' rating exists to tell you. The film is not made for your kids if you have to tell them to watch their mouths. Deadpool is known as "the Merc with a mouth" for a reason. This happens in the video game industry all the time , some parent will unwillingly buy their kid the latest Grand Theft Auto because they are begging for it.  The MPAA exists to inform those that want to avoid anything offensive, so please take heed of the rating. The film was made for fans of the character and we are all adults that know what to expect. If you want to do some homework on the character, click the image above and pick up Marvel's complete collection on the character. We've been waiting a long time for this film and are looking forward to a successful release. See the latest trai...

New Deadpool movie poster

Is anybody looking forward to the Deadpool movie as much as we are?  Of course there is, the "Merc with a mouth" is the most cos-played out character at every comic-con for a reason. Last spring we got updated on the production of the film , then with all the new comic book stuff we have been hit with lately , we got this: #Deadpool gets cheeky for his international poster. pic.twitter.com/JgxSWpHXYy — Deadpool Movie (@deadpoolmovie) December 1, 2015 "Coming soon", not soon enough.
