Photo: Edward Carbajal 2016 was a pretty big year for MMA in New York. The ban on MMA was lifted, UFC 205 came to Madison Square Garden and broke records, and on the final days of 2016 WSOF had their most successful event since the promotions launch, also at Madison Square Garden. The event hosted four title fights and all of them were entertaining, days before the event a press conference was held to promote it and below are the face-offs for WSOF 34/WSOF NYC. If you haven't figured it out, there's a lot of MMA going on this weekend. WSOF 23 will be the first broadcast featuring "The American Gangster" Chael Sonnen at the announcers table. Other than calling Global Force Wrestling and fighting for the UFC, he has been known to do good commentary for his own sport.
