Don't let the title mislead you, the film was good. Elysium stars Matt Damon, Sharlto Copley, and Jodie Foster in Neil Blomkamps latest film. Fans of District 9 are familiar with Blomkamp's work and will notice the visual similarities in this film as well as a familiar scenario. Blomkamp's allegorical story telling style is definitely the thinking man's director for present day sci-fi films and he has yet to disappoint. Got so crazy with Breaking Bad...forgot to post this. Damon gets in "Jason Bourne" shape for this film to play Max Da Costa, a future hard times guy working in a droid factory that makes the bulk of the androids that police and control the regular folk planet side on earth that aren't good enough (or rich enough) for Elysium.
