The final weigh-ins for UFC 235 happen tonight and if the card holds together, Jon Jones will make a quick return to the cage ready to defend his title against Anthony "Lionheart" Smith. Also, a welterweight title fight between Tyron Woodley and Kamaru Usman serves as the co-main event along with Ben Askren finally making his UFC debut against former champion, Robbie Lawler. It looks like no time is being wasted with Jon Jones back in action. His scheduled main event bout at UFC 235 on March 9 against Anthony "Lion Heart" Smith is coming soon and the UFC will have the press conference today live from Las Vegas and you can catch it here:

This is the last press conference before the last pay-per-view for the UFC this year. UFC 232 may not have been buzzing before the holidays but with the location change from Las Vegas to Los Angeles to keep the main event, this final press conference could be interesting.

Does UFC 232 seem underpromoted to you? It does to us and it was something we discussed on this week's Coast-2-Coast Combat Hour    because the event is ten-days away and it seems like something fight fans should be talking about, but that isn't really happening. Jon Jones vs. Alexander Gustafsson 2 is a great fight considering it one that Jones has said it was one of his toughest matches. The co-main event included the long anticipated match between Cris "Cyborg" Justino and Amanda Nunes, a champ versus champ bout that should absolutely make the winner one of the greatest female fighters to ever compete in the sport. Maybe we're too far away from it to start buzzing? Or, maybe December has had so many combat sports event we could be all fought out? It is the best mistaken identity story ever. Jon Jones has been taking a lot of heat meant for troubled former UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon "Bones" Jones for some time now. Jones' experience in handling the mean tweets he gets by accident is probably the best story on how to handle mean, grumpy trolling online ever. Some people can get offended or even scared, but Jones handles it with comedy and through his experiences not only has the self-proclaimed geek found a sport he actually enjoys, but he is making a lot of new friends in the process too. In social media post, Cormier thanked fans for their support after the loss, then with everything that ensued after with Jones testing positive for a banned substance. After telling fans to "lay off Jon Jones," Cormier added: "After the fight Jones showed compassion, regardless of what has happened as humans we must show compassion. Cormier suffered a knock out loss to Jones at the event and it is his second loss to the troubled light-heavyweight champion who could be stripped of the title. However, the news is still fresh and a process has to happen before Jones suffers any repercussions. The process could take some time according to Jeff Novitsky of USADA, it depends on the testing of a 'B' sample and what comes of Jones' in his defense.

With the internet working as fast as it does word of this got to Brock Lesnar and he also said he would fight Jones according to The Associated Press. “Anytime, anywhere” –Brock Lesnar Jones probably would not have any trouble being a heavyweight and Lesnar having wrestled in college and fighting in mixed martial arts winning the UFC Heavyweight title is certainly up for the challenge. When Jones addressed fighting Lesnar, he doubted he would even accept the challenge even though the profit for such a match would bode well for both men. The best light heavyweight to date in MMA is due back in court again this week after driving without a license, registration, or proof of insurance. Can we assume he made an honest mistake and simply forgot these items? Hopefully that is the case, but his record of automobile related incidents may not sit well with him in the court room. When courts see something that seems like familiar behavior, they tend to not let much slide. See the news footage below: Let's hope this doesn't ruin another pay-per-view. Lots of planned cards for the weekend of 10/24 went south, but they've all happened and went, not as expected. Also, New Jersey's Caged Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) is going to work on some spooky judging for Halloween. Fights were good, but ratings may not have been for all parties in this weeks episode, have a listen:

    I just watched my first pay per view on Xbox Live and not only was it cheaper but, it was also interactive and  that's something my cable provider isn't willing to tack on to my bill when adding up the cost of the event. The UFC app has been around for a a while but I never really used it since a lot of the content in the beginning was just old fights I had already seen.  Ordering this PPV (Pay per view), on the fly turned out to be one of the most pleasant experiences ordering a live event I have ever had. I had a lot of bad experiences dealing with one of the cable giants I would rather not mention since I want to talk about good things here.      The presentation from the UFC app menu is cool, the upper left part of the screen is where all the promotional video and live stream plays but leaves you access to other parts of the app that let you interact with the event.   It was $44.99 which is about 15 dollars cheaper than my...
