The Conjuring franchise's latest installment is due out this summer with part 3 entitled "The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It."  The franchise has had a great financial backing tied along with the case files of Ed and Loraine Warren who are best known for bringing the Amityville Horror to light, as its source material. This one is based on the trial Arne Cheyenne Johnson who was accused of killing his landlord. His defense, you guessed it "The devil made me do it." Personally, I find The Conjuring franchise refreshing because it is sort of an original spin on "true stories" to make new films in a time where reboots and remakes seem all too normal. If you have not looked into the history of the Warren's you should, it could be some good foresight on what to expect from the franchise's future.  The Conjuring 3, or The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It is due out this summer on June 4. If you have not watched the first film it is worth noting that it is based on the case files of Ed and Lorraine Warren. That is the tag line for both films and it should also be noted the Annabelle (2014) story and film was taken from their files as well. There actually has already been a few films made based on the case of The Enfield Poltergeist, which is what the basis of The Conjuring 2 will be. Movie fans love films based on a true story and if this film does as well as the first one we can expect a nice little collection of films "based on the case files of the Warrens." "Based on the case files of the Warrens." The Conjuring (2013) was a summer horror film about one of the many cases Ed and Lorraine Warren had investigated. If you're not familiar with their name, you're definitely familiar with their cases, the Amityville Horror being their most famous one. Truth being scarier than fiction has been written about here before , but if it weren't for the truths, the works of fiction would not exist. The film is about as scary as any film nowadays from James Wan, goofy faced demonic ghouls bothering a family. It's the bare bones of any horror film but rarely does it intrigue more similar films that are worth watching. This one does something different though, and it is the basis of what could be a nice series of films. Focusing on the ghost fighting of the Warrens is a really nice touch and kept me interested throughout the film.
