With the name of the show and creative credentials like those you would think you were in for some hardcore drama on the level of Breaking Bad or True Detective . You would be wrong, but you might still like what you see. Some light comedy with familiar faces from the genre. Instead, you get something more along the lines of an interesting buddy cop comedy and your case of the week detective work. It's a formula that has not been on TV since the days of Magnum PI and the only game in town for a while was Psych on the USA network. Dean Winters fits the role of detective well and has played both cop and criminal in the past, it's good he now has a role that he can play every week instead of just guest starring in similar roles. It's spring, the long winter is finally leaving, and  another show I followed for a long time has left us.  Last week, Psych aired its final episode and since its airing I have been re-watching episodes on  +Esquire Network  and started from episode one on  +Netflix  .  This change in seasons is welcome, I get to be outside more, hit the mats more, and spend more time with friends since it's not so hard to get around.  I don't mind shows taking breaks this time of year, but knowing they're never coming back is starting to bother me. Shows getting canceled is one thing, like when Copper got canceled it bothered because they pull the rug out from under us viewers and leave us with no say, it's just done, no goodbye and you move on.  But when something comes to close the way Breaking Bad and Psych did it tends to be a little sad.  The final episode of Psych was really well written, and if you didn't think so I recommend you go ba...

The final episode entitled "The Break Up", had a few meanings behind it.  A sad one for us fans, a deep story for two characters and an awesome show leaving a network that seems to like mixing detective fiction with comedy for about 8 seasons. Check out this tweet for this Wednesday's episode. I don't know about you, but I don't think anyone does comedic horror on TV better than these guys with their 80's references.  Other episodes of honorable mention are Tuesday the 14th, and The Mummy episode at the end of season 4.  This is their last season coming to a close, then it's goodbye Shaun and Gus.  Anyone else sad to see it go?
