Psych Finale. You will be missed fellas...

The final episode entitled "The Break Up", had a few meanings behind it.  A sad one for us fans, a deep story for two characters and an awesome show leaving a network that seems to like mixing detective fiction with comedy for about 8 seasons. BEST. FANS. EVER. Thanks for 8 incredible seasons. #Psych pic.twitter.com/bwmo0cSGot — Psych_USA (@Psych_USA) March 27, 2014 Not since Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson have there been a detective duo that has a friendship that fans know will withstand the test of time.  Shawn Spencer and Burton Guster, played by James Roday and Dule Hill have tickled our funny bones and gave us enough nods to the 80's culture of generation X folks like myself to keep us coming back every week.  For 8 seasons this show has been a necessary escape from reality that if I missed a night I knew I lost out on laughter for the week.  Pretty much every actor from the Breakfast Club has made an appearance on this show, Ralph Macchio has been ...

Get lost winter!

I don't know about you folks, but we're sick of winter here.  If we could kick winter's butt around the parking lot or beat it down in an empty field a-la Office Space we would.  We absolutely hate winter the way Tio Salamanca hated Gus Fring on Breaking Bad .  How did Tio make himself happy? By blowing Gus Fring up. Apparently, I am not alone as Grant Thompson took the time (and explosives) to blow up some winter on +YouTube  .  See his video below:

Bellator still number 2? maybe not for long.

I know considering the source, it seems like a pretty bold statement.  But, in the opinion of Emmanuel Newton he sees ,"Bellator definitely surpassong the UFC. It's already happening." That was a comment he made in a recent interview at mmafighting.com . You know my opinion, especially since I went to the opening rounds of this years tournament and loved it I tend to agree with him.  It also helps that they are live every Friday night on Spike TV.  Over all I'm a fan of the sport and tend to think this type of competition is not only good for martial arts, martial artists, and fans in general but I feel as the sport grows, so will the success of those that compete and dream to compete.  These little stabs the promotions take at each other is good for business and I for one would like to see a champion versus champion show like the rumored WSOF versus Bellator one mentioned here before .  Like I said in that piece, "competition is good for busine...

Marvel’s Assembling A Universe All the DVD extras in one hour.

Got a lot of time to watch TV, so by chance I happened to  catch Disn...I mean Marvel's hour long plug of all things Marvel in TV and film.  If you have the DVD's of these and are only looking for newer information than I can say skip to the end.  However, if you have the casual fan that only knows what they know from whats been main stream as of late, this would be good to watch. Marvel's Assembling a Universe managed to piece the entire history of all things Avengers into one hour.  starting with the concepts of the original Iron Man film and casting along with how laying the foundations in all the other films that would bring us to The Avengers film we all saw.  I have to say it was pretty much just a long promo to get people excited for the upcoming, Captain America: Winter Soldier , Guardians of the Galaxy , and Avengers: Age of Ultron films and it worked.  I was never big on Guardians of the Galaxy   but it's Sci-fi, action co...

Apologies for the inactivity

Sorry about not putting anything up last week, some pressing matter came up with school then we got sick so everything has been on hold.  A full review is in the pipe though about the Bellator MMA event we went to and it was a blast.   Having been under the weather I got to catch up on some good stuff on  +Netflix  like House of Cards , and The Doctors Notebook just to name a few. Also, some shows are back that we were excited about last season when they first aired like Hannibal and The Bates Motel so we gots a lot of catching up to do.  Stuff will be up soon, sorry for the delay but these things happen.

Be careful who you make fun of, lest you become them

In healing up from the latest illness that has kept me inactive , I'm taking the down time at home to catch up on some gaming.  I've pretty much finished up with school for good and decided to reach out to my friends to play some games.  But, in being too busy to keep up with trends I have been left behind in a sense with the new consoles.  Granted, I never planned on jumping on that wagon and still plan on holding off for a bit but my main gaming buddies seemed to have moved on. Mostly playing single player. What's a guy to do?  I don't really have the cash to blow on a "now" generation console as I am still enjoying a long list of un-played games on my PS3 and Xbox 360.  So who do I play with?  Then, I remembered those guys that I used to tease because they were too busy raising families and spending money on things that were necessary before jumping on the gaming band wagons at the time.  The guys that bought Gears of War for...

Fans of Psych on USA

Check out this tweet for this Wednesday's episode. I don't know about you, but I don't think anyone does comedic horror on TV better than these guys with their 80's references.  Other episodes of honorable mention are Tuesday the 14th, and The Mummy episode at the end of season 4.  This is their last season coming to a close, then it's goodbye Shaun and Gus.  Anyone else sad to see it go? Will "A Nightmare On State Street" be the best episode of the season? I'm guessing yes. #PsychNightmare @DuleHill pic.twitter.com/gUXT1wEeda — A Playa Named Gus (@APlayaNamedGus) March 17, 2014

Bellator 110 Live!

I have always been a fight fan and with the growing popularity of the Sport of Competitive Martial Arts known to many as MMA.  I never cared for the term MMA but whatever make is popular gives us easier access to watching some good fights on TV.  There are a few organizations right now that have some decent network coverage such as the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC), World Series of Fighting (WSOF) and Bellator MMA to name a few. Before it's popularity the only way I got to see this sport live and in person was when going to see my training partners compete in small local events and on pay per view TV. But, now that it is growing in popularity it's easier to see and one of the organizations that have a unique format that compliments traditional martial arts is Bellator MMA.  They do a tournament in various weight classes every year and it gives you something to follow which adds some legitimate drama to draw in fans following a fighter they know. ...
