Netflix Originals 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

I have to say I am enjoying being able to binge on a whole season of a show through Netflix.  I did it first with Mad Men, Arrested Development, and Luther all shows were pretty damned good and seemed to get a big boost from the "too busy to follow a weekly series" fan base in the manner of streaming previous seasons.  I think the idea to produce some of their own stuff and release it that way is a great idea and I look forward to their originals, most of them anyway...

Arrested Developments resurgence is no secret and I'm happy with what has been done so far, (I'm only 12 episodes in) and House of Cards was awesome I really hope a season two is on the way.  Not everything has been great though, I checked out Hemlock Grove and fell asleep every time I tried to watch it, it just wasn't good.  Next month, they are launching another one that looks like an interesting prison show called, Orange is the New Black.  It looks like it might be good and I hope it is because being able to watch a whole show at my leisure is really appealing to me. Too many shows come out and waiting a whole year for them to run again, then wait every week to get an episode in is starting to get boring...or corny...or whatever you want to call it.  It just sucks!  I hope they get a lot more going because cable is too expensive and there are not many shows worth waiting around for anymore.  I know Amazon and other companies are trying to follow suit by producing their own shows but if this is how TV is going to be now then I think we could all save ourselves a lot of money by using a pair of rabbit ear antennas and a good internet connection.

I hope Orange is the New Black doesn't suck, I was really disappointed with Hemlock Grove as a horror fan and a Netflix subscriber so this will be the one to even it out if it is good.  We'll see next month, but so far they're doing a great job.
