New Jersey Comic Expo Returns to Edison, NJ #NJCE

RETURNS TO EDISON IN ONE WEEK

Comic Creators, Celebrities, Panels, Movie Cars, Cosplay, Interactive Exhibits, Kids Love Comics Area & More Coming Back To NJ Expo Center in Edison, November 19 and 20, For Comic Book and Pop Culture Fans of All Ages

EDISON, NJ, NOVEMBER 9—The state has been buzzing about the upcoming New Jersey Comic Expo, and the time has almost arrived for the family-friendly event to make it’s return to the NJ Expo Center in Edison, at the crossroads of Jersey, in just two weeks on November 19 and 20!

The New Jersey Comic Expo (NJCE) has lined up another exciting weekend of celebrity guests, legendary and top creators in the comic book industry, interactive exhibits and hours of seminars and panels.

“We couldn’t be more excited for our second show in New Jersey later this month” says Martha Donato, Executive Director and Founder of the New Jersey Comic Expo. “Last year’s response from guests, exhibitors and attendees was overwhelmingly positive, and with this year’s guest list and programming slate, things are shaping up to be even better!”

New Jersey based publishing powerhouse Dynamite Entertainment will be bringing some of their top talent to this year’s show, including Amy Chu, writer of the newly launched KISS comic book series, Bill Willingham, writer of Fables, Legenderry, and the recently announced Greatest Adventure, and James Robinson, the mastermind behind the reimagining of DC’s Starman, and writer an all-new James Bond series!

“Last year’s first time event truly was the start of something special. Martha and her team have put together a show which has raised the bar for pop culture events here in New Jersey,” says Dynamite CEO and publisher, Nick Barrucci. “This year we wanted to again bring some of our most talented creators working on some our most prominent and anticipated titles to meet the fans here in the Garden State!”

Celebrity guests scheduled to appear at this year’s show include Randy Havens and Catherine Dyer of the Netflix series, Stranger Things, along with The Walking Dead’s Steve Coulter, Major Dodson, and Lew Temple!

Cosplay takes center stage again this year with celebrity cosplay guests like Ashley Chantilly, international cosplay personality Ivy Doomkitty, SuicideGirl Lua Suicide, returning guest Vegas Powergirl, Victoria C, Yuffie Bunny, and more!

The NJCE 2016 Cosplay Contest will take place in the Main Ballroom from 6:30pm-8:00pm, and will be hosted by The 501st Legion, with celebrity judges Ashley Chantilly, Ivy Doomkitty, Lua Suicide and Yuffie Bunny!

The legendary Kubert School will celebrate 40 years at this year’s show with a panel at 3pm on Saturday! Hosted by Adam Kubert, with guests Cory Smith, Idan Knafo, Marki Wolfson, Tom Mandrake and Jan Duursema will be a retrospective discussion on the impact of Joe Kubert's vision and legacy on the careers of some of the school's most prominent graduates. Graduates from different eras over the past 40 years paint a picture of how the school has grown and impacted the industry.

Other programming highlights include exclusive panels focused on Stranger Things, The Walking Dead, DC Comics Talent Talks, Marvel Heroes, Dynamite Entertainment, a Spotlight on Cuban artist and animator, Mario Rivas, a Fables retrospective with Bill Willingham, and many more!

Fans of all ages attending the New Jersey Comic Expo can prepare for two full days of exclusive programming. Over 60 hours of programs in five areas will be presenting Q&A’s with the industry's top creators, real-world insight on finding success in today’s challenging comics marketplace, cosplay instruction from top artists, celebrity speakers, classics on creating your own comics, and much more.
