The UFC Fight Night 75 may have been under promoted, but the event had overwhelming performances from many of the competitors. Josh Barnett out worked Roy Nelson, Uriah Hall jumped up the middleweight ranks, and two fighters from “The Ultimate Fighter Japan (TUF: Japan)” fought to an impressive draw. A lot has gone down in MMA during the month of September, but this card from Japan could make for a better reminder than a Pride FC themed show if you were lucky enough to catch it. Mizuto Hirota and Teruto Ishihara were both fighting to earn UFC contracts after getting through the Fight Pass broadcast of TUF:Japan. Ishihara looked the favorite to win, seemingly because he was ten years the junior of Hirota but the older fighter showed what experience does when facing a greener opponent. For every combo Hirota delivered, Ishihara would answer with counter-left-hook. Even with that happening, Hirota only seemed to press on. Now we're getting somewhere. Does anyone find it odd that when Eph has very little to say or do the episodes are profoundly better than the ones where he is the focus of it? Regardless of that, it looks like things are starting to get moving in the grand scope of the show. The Occido Lumin has been located, Gus and The Silver Angel are back, and this episode could stand alone as its own short horror film with Eichorst's capture and torture of Fet's girl. The flashbacks are often the best parts of most episodes, this one was no different as we got a glimpse at Eichorst, before he became one of The Masters many underlings. Low confidence, low self esteem, pretty much everything bullies are made of, made Eichorst what he has become. Nazi, slave to The Master and overall sicko that likes to play with his food. Without getting into detail, Eichorst had a very nasty plan for feeding on Dutch, but Fet would not have it and got to her in the nick of time. Her ordeal occupies...

If you haven't figured it out, there's a lot of MMA going on this weekend. WSOF 23 will be the first broadcast featuring "The American Gangster" Chael Sonnen at the announcers table. Other than calling Global Force Wrestling and fighting for the UFC, he has been known to do good commentary for his own sport. Being a little closer to our favorite month of the year it was nice to find out that the sequel to Trick 'r Treat is still happening. Michael Dougherty, the original films creator gave a lot of insight to what is on deck for the upcoming film and our favorite Halloween Representative, Sam. He has been busy with another  film called Krampus described as a horror/comedy but has not left Trick 'r Treat on the back burner. While we wait, fans can pick up the comic book he said would serve as a prequel to the 2009 film that should be due out next month. The book will be in the same scope as the film with an anthology showing some back story for Sam and horror fans favorite holiday. Lots of gun play This weeks The Strain episode, was a little war between man and strigoi was a decent filler episode in what seemed to take a break from the main story.  People were left wondering about this new renegade that came to help the humans, the book Setrakian was looking for, and what's up with The Master and his new body? The last two episodes switched focus from the main story to focus on Zach and his mother who is turned now, trying to get him back. What happened to Gus, Angel, and the hunter/gladiator vampire? The battle in Red Hook was decent but not as large scale as they tried to make it seem. lets hope in the episodes to come we get a nice close to the season. It was confirmed early in the current season that a season three is definitely coming so maybe they had to stretch some things out during the production process. Marvels next Netflix installment The date for the new Marvel series Jessica Jones on  +Netflix  is set for November 20, with all thirteen episodes ready for you to binge watch. The Netflix Marvel universe is supposed to tie in with DareDevil and the entire cinematic Marvel Universe. If you can't wait for "the man without fear"to return, this should make for some nice filler. The series stars Kristen Ritter as the title character and in her company, reportedly are David Tennant of Dr. Who and Broadchurch fame. Considering how the final season went and where it started, it seems easy to understand why the show got canned. They took a long way to go nowhere and for a show that had some of the best visuals on television, they really dropped the ball. There was rumors of the show moving to another channel or even getting the Netflix treatment, but after that finale. Do we really want one? The films and novels have such a following you have to be careful of what you change.  If it is too drastic, fans may give up on what is being produced. Hannibal looked like it was going to be a prequel when it first started. Filling in the blanks for everything that led up to the Red Dragon story, but somewhere the writers went off the rails.  It seemed they could bot decide on who they wanted to kill off or keep on the show. It's getting worse.  Not the show, the outbreak occurring in the show that sets up the "before" portion of what lead to everything happening AMC's hit show The Walking Dead . The early stages of unrest have begun, one character knows how to prepare and if he's as smart as he seems. The others will listen to him. Although this is the very beginning of the outbreak that creates the zombies, no hint has been given as to where its coming from. Also getting worse is communications, law enforcement, and civilization as a whole along with Alicia babysitting her brother's withdrawal. Nothing will clean up a junkie faster than a zombie in a crack house. The virus being new in the universe still has people unaware of how to stop a zombie coming at them.
