It's official. Anything Rousey does is news.

Photo: WWE.com Movies, lobbying to legalize MMA in New York , and appearances at pro wrestling events. She seems to make heads turn no matter what she is doing. In all honesty her judo toss of Triple H was pretty awesome. The Rock was there as back up (not really) but he did kind of bring her in as his back up. Triple H is a big dude... That is one dangerous woman. Either way she is an avid pro-wrestling fan and most likely will make more appearances in the WWE. Her internet buzz was worthy enough to make the above GIF break the internet today. See a full list of coverage on the link from WWE. Deadpool Movie Update

Anybody that is a fan of the "Merc with a Mouth" will be glad to know filming has begun and we are all closer to the Deadpool movie . If you have a twitter account you should be following Ryan Reynolds on twitter as he updates fans on the long awaited film. He tweeted a peek at the costume recently: With great power, comes great irresponsibility. #deadpool #officialsuit @deadpoolmovie pic.twitter.com/MPM89bYz1B — Ryan Reynolds (@VancityReynolds) March 27, 2015 He also tweeted where the idea came from: pic.twitter.com/yl9LwjLp9n — Ryan Reynolds (@VancityReynolds) March 27, 2015 As long as he's at the helm the movie looks like it will be safe and true to the source material.

WWE and Gene Simmons will be making horror films together

Photo: WWE.com WWE and Gene Simmons will not be getting together to make beautiful music. Instead, they will be making horror together according to Variety . The alliance will form "Erubus Pictures" and they plan on doing three films together. Simmons has been with Kiss for a long time. His persona with the band has him sticking his bloody tongue out at fans for years, it should be no surprise he is a fan of horror. Photo: Christopher Polk “The horror genre continues to fascinate me as it proves to be endlessly thrilling and engaging for audiences,” Gene Simmons on Horror. The first film to be developed from the partnership will be Temple , written by Matt Savelloni the synopsis follows a team of military operatives who get stuck in a compound by the AI system and experience horrific phenomena. Sounds like your typical haunted house story but who cares? We haven't had one of those in a while. WWE studios has put out some decent films and as far as their e...

The Last American Vampire: Book Review

Cover from Goodreads.com For someone that is not a fan of vampires, I sure do read a lot of vampire books. It's usually with vampires as the bad guys though as they are meant to be.  Not those "other" vampires, you know the ones I mean. The one's that glitter, you won't find reviews of those kind on this site. You will find reviews of the good vampire books and The Last American Vampire is one of them. Keep in mind it is a sequel to Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and focuses on a character introduced in that book named Henry Sturges. He is a secondary character in the Lincoln titled book but he is the main protagonist in this one. It begins just after Lincoln's story so you would be doing yourself a favor reading that first. Not like the movie at all and way better. This sequel takes you through Henry Sturges's years from his transformation to a vampire right up until modern times. A lot of history being mashed up into some entertaining fiction ...

The new Lex Luthor

Photo: Clay Enos The new Lex Luthor was shown today via Entertainment Weekly  for the much anticipated Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice . Jesse Eisenberg, will be playing the part of the DC comics villain in the Zack Snyder film due out in March of 2016. Will he try to copy Gene Hackman's annoying portrayal of the billionaire villain? Or, will we see the Luthor known from the comics? Photo: AP What do you think?  Given the bulk of his roles, he may try to do the comedic version or he could surprise everyone the way Heath Ledger did when played The Joker in Dark Knight . Lets hope for a darker, more acceptable Lex Luthor for the fans of both the comics and the previous Batman films. Please comment on your preference below. Friday the 13th TV series UPDATE

Does anyone remember the series from the 80's? Friday the 13th: The Series ran from 1987-1990 and anyone that grew up with Jason and his relation to the title tuned in every week. We didn't know better back then but we thought Jason Voorhees would eventually show up. He obviously didn't. The show focused on a very hot red head named Micki Foster, played by Louise Robey. She inherited a store of mysterious trinkets and co-owned it with her cousin Ryan. No Jason, no way to have a love interest, no wonder the show didn't last.  Well, it looks like history may repeat its self. According to a statement by Tim Jacobs on behalf of the shows creator it's going to be a more like Scream in referencing the actual horror of Jason from the films. This is new information since we last heard about a new Friday the 13th television series. "The basic premise focuses on the REAL city of Crystal Lake, and the effect that the serialized films had on its real life cou...

Battle Creek Premiere Review

Photos from official CBS Battle Creek site. Battle Creek premiered March 1st on CBS, it is produced from the minds that brought fans House M.D. and Breaking Bad . With the name of the show and creative credentials like those you would think you were in for some hardcore drama on the level of Breaking Bad or True Detective . You would be wrong, but you might still like what you see. Some light comedy with familiar faces from the genre. Instead, you get something more along the lines of an interesting buddy cop comedy and your case of the week detective work. It's a formula that has not been on TV since the days of Magnum PI and the only game in town for a while was Psych on the USA network. Dean Winters fits the role of detective well and has played both cop and criminal in the past, it's good he now has a role that he can play every week instead of just guest starring in similar roles. The premise of the show is an FBI agent being sent to Battle Creek, Michi...
